Hybrid lamps from my PRL recollections

Combining my recollections of the Polish
Peoples' Republic into a contemporary
lighting object was the main insporation
for this collection of lamps.

1985-1993 was a trully dramatic period
in Polish history. Not only did commu-
nism fall apart, but people also forgot
themselves in newly regained freedom
and the introduction of capitalism.
I remember only a few things from my
earliest childhood: casette and video
tape waving on tree tops, net-curtains
in every single window, bare lighting-
-bulbs hanging in newly renovated flats
as well as old sofas' and ramchais' ugly
green-brownish tapestry.

All this is a great inspiration for me.
